On August 22, the 33rd Guangzhou Expo, the 11th International Invention Exhibition, and the Belt and Road & BRICS Skills Development and Technology Innovation Competition officially opened at the China Import and Export Fair Complex. The event was attended by senior national officials including Wu Zhaohui, Vice President and Deputy Party Secretary of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (ministerial level), and President of the China Association of Inventions; Lu Pengqi, Deputy Director of the China National Intellectual Property Administration; and Gao Fenglin, Vice Chairman of the All-China Federation of Trade Unions.

In his speech at the opening ceremony, Wu Zhaohui highlighted three key features of the dual event model integrating the invention exhibition and the Guangzhou Expo: synergy between invention and industrialization, international collaboration complementing domestic cooperation, and regional development aligned with interregional coordination — all serving as valuable inspiration for innovation-driven growth.

The 11th International Invention Exhibition & the 5th China Top 500 Invisible Unicorn Enterprises Conference (2025)

This concurrent event was co-hosted by the China Association of Inventions, the Chinese Council of the BRICS Business Council, and the Beijing Institute of Invisible Unicorn Information Technology. It was co-organized by the Guangzhou Municipal Collaboration Office and the Unicorn Innovation Committee of the China Association of Inventions, with academic support from the Tsinghua New Quality Productivity Research Institute and the China Private Enterprise Research Center of Renmin University.

The conference gathered over 200 prominent guests, including officials from the Guangdong and Guangzhou governments, listed unicorn companies, enterprises ranked in the Top 500 Invisible Unicorns of China, emerging invisible unicorns, and seed-stage unicorn representatives.

With the theme of Deepening Cooperation between China and ASEAN to Create a Regional Economic Future, ASEAN Outstanding Business Summit 2024 concluded successfully in Shanghai on December 7. It attracted more than 400 people including political figures, entrepreneurs, experts and scholars from China, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Cambodia and other countries to gather together.

The 10th China-ASEAN Outstanding Business Awards Dinner was held during the summit, commending 58 outstanding enterprises from Malaysia, China, Myanmar, Cambodia, Australia, Singapore, Thailand, Hong Kong, China, Taiwan, and Indonesia . . .
